The ToiletSeva application presents a valuable resource for users in India, enabling them to locate, rate, and contribute information about various restroom facilities, which include free, paid, and complimentary options for customers or visitors. The app’s user-friendly dashboard summarizes search results, allowing users to sort these results based on multiple criteria such as distance and overall ratings from various time periods (last year, last six months, last three months, and last two weeks).

Innovative filtering options enhance the search experience, with results categorized as claimed, reviewed, or speculative. Each listing is also marked as open or closed in relation to the current time and operational hours. Users may refine their search based on diverse factors including cost (free/paid/students/customers/visitors), type (private/government subsidized), style (Indian/western), service (urinal only/full-fledged), access (gents/ladies), amenities (e.g., water supply, liquid soap, washbasin), and location (various categories such as restaurants, shopping malls, educational institutions, religious places, etc.). A map view further enhances navigation through the search results.

Upon selecting a specific listing, users are directed to a detailed features screen that encompasses critical information such as map locations, pricing details, type and style specifications, available services, access information, and amenities provided. Additionally, address details, phone numbers, and operational hours are displayed for convenience. The reviews section not only includes an overall rating but also assessments of sub-categories such as cleanliness and availability of necessary supplies. Similar to the search results screen, these ratings can also be filtered further by timeframe.

The application encourages user engagement by inviting individuals to contribute reviews regarding both overall quality and specific sub-categories. Toilet owners are afforded the opportunity to claim ownership of their facilities through a dedicated claim feature. Furthermore, users can report specific or general issues concerning any restroom listed in the application.

Additions of new facilities can be made via the app by providing relevant address details and operating hours. New listings follow the same filtering options seen in search results to maintain consistency. The unique networking and volunteer components allow users to form connections with selected contacts to receive trustworthy feedback. Users may opt for level 1 networking with their contacts or join a volunteer network upon approval for exclusive access to ratings from that community.

For additional convenience, the app maintains records of visited locations and currently supports three Indian languages: Hindi, English, and Marathi. At present, it is focused solely on serving users within India.
